Tavita- Office Manager
Tavita is a dedicated member of our team. She does a wonderful job assisting our patients with their treatment plans and financial arrangements. She believes the best part of her job is being part of a dental team that offers state of the art dental treatment that people can trust. Helping patients gain confidence in their smiles is a priceless reward that she never gets tired of. She enjoys being part of a dental team that truly loves the career path they have chosen. Tavita and her family members have been patients of Peterson Center for Dentistry since she worked for Dr. Peterson’s father back in 1983 and is proud to rejoin such a caring and ethical dental practice.
Tavita started her dental career in 1981 when she graduated from the Regional Occupational Program for Dental Assisting in her senior year of high school. She worked as a Registered Dental Assistant for seven years before making the move to the front office. She joined the dental team of Peterson Center for Dentistry in September of 2010. She brings over 28 years of dental experience. She has worked as an insurance biller in the dental and medical fields, treatment & financial coordinator in the orthodontic field and patient care coordinator in a pediatric dental office
She is a native of the Ventura County area. She married her husband, Baldemar, in 1983. Together they have two children, Anthony and Ginamarie. She is the middle child to her parents Rudy & Lupe Reza, who have been together for over 55 yrs. She has two sisters, Theresa and Tamara. She loves spending time with her family going to the movies or just getting together for holidays or special family occasions.
Monique- Registered Dental Hygienist
Monique is a Registered Dental Hygienist with expanded functions. She can honestly say that she loves her job. She loves to study and learn and finds dentistry fascinating. She is always researching dental products, their effectiveness and what particular product will help each patient improve their dental health based on their individual needs.
Outside of the office, Monique just celebrated her 26th wedding anniversary. She has two daughters with whom she really enjoys spending time. She loves to stay active and enjoy camping, boating, hiking, snow-skiing, sports (especially softball and soccer) and squeezes in time to be the choreographer for her kids choir.

Shannon- Registered Dental Assistant
Shannon has been an integral part of our team since June 1990 when she started working with Dr. Roger Peterson. In the time she has been with our office she has developed lasting relationships with our patients. She enjoys helping patients overcome fears about going to the dentist as well as rebuilding smiles and confidence.
Shannon graduated from the Regional Occupational Program in 1990. She is married to her husband, Patrick. Together they have two teenage children, son Tyler and daughter Samantha. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to her kids sporting events, going to Disneyland and spending time with good friends.

Xochitl- Registered Dental Assistant
Xochitl became a part of our team in June 2009. She has been an asset to our team. We appreciate the care she gives to each of our patients. She finds joy in working in dentistry because it’s a profession that allows her to help people. Whether it’s getting rid of their tooth aches or helping them feel confident about their smiles. During the process of patients receiving their treatment Xochitl enjoys getting to know each and every patient on a personal level and developing relationships with them.
Xochitl has been a dental assistant for 15 years. She completed her dental assisting classes at the Venice Skills Center in Venice, California. In the beginning of 2011, she fulfilled the requirements to become a registered dental assistant.
Xochitl has two children, a daughter, who is attendng college in San Francisco and a son in junior high. A common question patients ask Xochitl is, "how is your name pronouced"? She welcomes this questions because she has become fond of her name. It is pronounced "So-Chi" and it means "flower" in Mayan.
